Customer Service Representative
Remote Position – Must reside in or near Vancouver Area for team meetings
Schedule: 8:30AM-5PM local time

Key Accountabilities:

Accomplish all aspects of ocean, air and landside operations, from pre-arrival administration to final delivery, in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.

Respond to customer inquiries and service exceptions with effective communications with clients, origin offices, ocean carriers, brokers, and other vendors to provide updates and facilitate streamlined deliveries of shipments.

When assigned, develop and maintain new business from new and existing customers.

Relay clear and detailed instructions to vendors and back-office support teams in order to sustain an efficient operation.

Champion a role that promotes a client centric attitude by being proactive and providing best in class service.

Develop and recommend changes to existing procedures and system enhancement to increase the accuracy, efficiency, and responsiveness of the customer service team as a whole.

Collaboration and sharing of work duties as needed to promote a team based environment.
Qualifications:

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

High proficiency with MS Office Suite and learning new computer software.
OOCL Logistics (Canada) Customer Service Representative Preferred Skills:
-
Recent experience in ocean and/or air freight transportation with a leading NVOCC/Freight Forwarder.

Proficiency with all major ocean and/or air freight, freight carriers any online booking and tracing platforms.

Familiarity with ocean import and export and/or air freight transportation procedures, terminology, regulations, and D&D policies.

Familiarity with Customs formalities, procedures, and systems.

Ability to focus on customer satisfaction and building great client relationships.

Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong time management skills.

Possess an energetic, enthusiastic, and positive team-oriented approach to work.

Self-motivated, detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
All employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
The annualized base compensation for this position is $47,000.00 to $52,000.00 excluding fringe benefits. If hired at OOCL Logistics, the final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we also consider internal equity as part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
