Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Part-Time Bookkeeper for our client, a well-established industrial supply company in the Hammonds Plains area.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day bookkeeping functions
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including preparing invoices and applying customer payments
- Handle Accounts Payable, including entering invoices and preparing payments (cheques, e-transfers, credit cards)
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Process payroll for a small team, including commission calculations and remittances
- Prepare and submit quarterly HST remittances
- Track and manage inventory within the system, including receiving and costing items
- Work with multi-currency transactions
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with year-end processes
- Support the transition from QuickBooks Manufacturing to Sage 50
- Assist with general administrative or office tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous bookkeeping experience in a full-cycle role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
- Experience with QuickBooks desktop is required
- Experience with Sage 50 is an asset
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with inventory and multi-currency transactions
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Able to work independently and manage deadlines
Our client offers:
- $25 per hour
- Approximately 7.5 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling between Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- On-site role in Hammonds Plains
Pay: $25.00 per hour
