The Corporate Services and Public Safety (CSPS) division has an opportunity for qualified individuals to apply for the position of Corporate Services Administrative Coordinator. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services and Public Safety, this position offers 72 hours bi-weekly starting as soon as possible.
The Administrative Coordinator supports the administration and coordination tasks of the CSPS division and provides special project support to the General Manager of Corporate Services and Public Safety. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to organization of department calendars; preparing for and supporting corporate service meetings, workshops, and training sessions of varying sizes; supporting project management processes and initiatives; conducting analytical reviews; and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
Qualified candidates have completed a post-secondary certificate in Administration or Business and additional courses related to local government administration with at least 1-3 years of experience in a similar administrative coordination role. Specific experience in a local government setting is preferred; however, a combination of related experience and education will be considered. Qualified candidates demonstrate strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; proven skills and experience with document management, and proficiency with financial software and records management experience is considered an asset.
The successful candidate is a professional, approachable, and helpful individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and can coach and mentor others related to corporate administrative processes. Also, the successful candidate will have proven abilities to sustain a high attention to detail and accuracy, and to work well under pressure, effectively managing competing demands or projects and prioritizing workload. The successful candidate also demonstrates commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace while contributing to a positive environment. The starting wage for this role is $34.87 per hour.
