Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to support new construction and apartment build-out projects. This role involves a range of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, and general construction work within residential buildings. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on active job sites and completing work to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry work, including framing, finishing, and installation
- Complete tasks such as drywall, trim, doors, flooring, and unit build-outs
- Assist with construction of new residential units and apartment renovations
- Read and work from drawings and plans as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding progress and priorities
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry or residential construction experience preferred
- Working knowledge of framing, finishing, and general building practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and carrying materials
- Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code and general construction standards is an asset
- Valid Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain)
