Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Labourer/Drain Layer to join our construction team. This role involves performing various manual tasks related to drainage installation, excavation, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with a variety of tools and machinery. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills in construction and drainage systems within a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and repair of drainage systems, including laying pipes and connecting components
- Experience in operating Skid Steers
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing piping and other materials
- Perform excavation work safely.
- Conduct site preparation, including trenching, grading, and debris removal
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, drainage systems, or construction equipment is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.28-$22.00 per hour
