We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our Oshawa team in a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting daily fuel delivery operations, customer service, dispatch coordination, and administrative functions while working collaboratively with multiple departments across the organization.
Job Title: Dispatcher
Location: 190 Wentworth St. E., Oshawa, ON
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (additional hours and overtime may be required based on operational needs, particularly during the heating season)
Compensation: $21.00–$25.00/hour to start, depending on experience
Reports To: Operations Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Receive fuel orders, schedule deliveries, and coordinate dispatch operations to ensure efficient daily routing
· Communicate directly with drivers throughout the day regarding delivery schedules, route changes, and operational updates
· Answer phones and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a high level of customer service
· Monitor delivery progress and proactively address scheduling conflicts, delivery concerns, or customer inquiries
· Maintain accurate customer profiles, delivery information, and account documentation within company software
· Work closely with the Fuel & Lubricant Sales Team and Operations Team to ensure customer needs and delivery expectations are met
· Assist in maintaining organized dispatch records, paperwork, and operational documentation
· Support daily office and administrative functions as required
· Participate in an approximately bi-weekly on-call rotation for after-hours customer calls and emergency delivery coordination
· May be required to operate a forklift from time to time; experience is considered an asset, however willingness to obtain certification is required
· Contribute positively to a fast-paced, team-oriented operations environment
· Ability to work independently, as management is not always on-site and may be working across multiple locations
Minimum Requirements:
· 1–3 years of office or administrative experience required
· Previous dispatch or transportation experience considered an asset
· Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
· Valid Class G driver’s license in good standing
· Availability to work overtime as required
