Job Responsibilities:
- Operate manual or automatic transmission dump trucks or Mack trucks in full compliance with road safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, including checking gauges, lighting/electrical systems, and identifying potential leaks (water, oil, fuel, air)
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain up-to-date driver logs (all trucks are equipped with electronic logging devices)
- Communicate effectively and consistently with Dispatch
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers and team members
- Follow all applicable regulations set by the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
Requirements & Skills:
- A valid driver's license, at least 2 years of verified experience operating tractor trailers, flatbeds or step decks.
- Clean driver's summary and CVOR
- Possess good communication skills.
- Able to adapt flexibly to different working hours and shifts.
- Proficient in operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
