We are looking for an experienced GM Certified Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join our Western Alberta Family Dealership. Key Responsibilities:
Our Certified Gm Canada trusted Journeyman Service Technician would take pride in providing excellent workmanship, have an elevated level of experience with a strong knowledge of automotive repairs, OEM and aftermarket parts while supporting GM Canada and brand processes. You would be friendly, resourceful, efficient and provide quality workmanship while working individually and alongside our knowledgeable staff members. Requirements:

Road test, inspect, diagnose, and estimate repairs as required per customers concerns in accordance with General Motors and dealership guidelines

Capable of using diagnostic and specialty equipment to perform required diagnosis and repairs

Perform general maintenance, mechanical assessments, and vehicle inspections as required with trade certification

Execute warranty repairs in accordance with General Motors Policies and Procedures.

Document performed repairs orders in a legible and concise manner

Follows best practices, compliance, and trade regulations

Daily communication with service advisors, parts technicians, dispatcher, and management to provide accurate diagnosis and estimates to execute quality and timely repairs

Knowledge of automotive operating systems and repairs is an asset, but not required; willing to train/apprentice with the right personal

Efficiently diagnose and repair vehicles on their first visit to minimize comebacks and improve customer satisfaction

Priority in delivering quality workmanship in repairs facilitated

Ensure mechanical compliance of all vehicles

Journeyman technician preferred, but willing to train and apprentice with the right personal

Excellent communication skills; verbally and written as well as a diligence to detail
- Proficient computer skills, CDK and Global Connect is ideal but not an asset

Willing to work Saturday’s technician rotation

Ability to lift over 50 lbs

Willing to relocate
Education and Experience:
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Valid Journeyman Certificate from accredited institution preferred, but willing to train and apprentice with the right personal

GM experience with an evident record of accomplishment preferred, but not an asset

Out of Province Vehicle Inspection License with Alberta Transportation an asset, but not required
