We currently have an opening for a permanent part-time Dispatcher to join our team! The schedule for this position is Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The successful candidate will be punctual, team-orientated, and have strong multi-tasking abilities. The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling and dispatching workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to the appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
- Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers
- Act as a communication liaison through the two-way truck radio system and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road
- Communicate with customers as needed to facilitate services
- Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last-minute scheduling changes
- Monitor any sudden route changes or construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries
- Relay work orders, messages and information to or from work crews, supervisors and field inspectors using telephones or two-way radios
- Keep records, monitor drivers’ daily logs for errors or violations and monitor their working hours and equipment availability
- Permanently route new customers into existing routes
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure accurate and consistent service is provided
- Arranges manifests for contaminated soil/ debris
- Practice safe work procedures at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
