Job Title: Gyro Field Specialist
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Calgary, AB CAN T2C 4R7
Shift: 12-hour days, up to 21 days a month.
- Field-based Gyro Field Specialist supporting Gyro survey operations for the Client.
- Safely operate Gyro survey instruments and related field equipment at customer locations.
- Ensure accurate survey data collection, quality control, and service delivery.
- Represent the client professionally while coordinating with clients, rig crews, and field personnel.
- Perform pre-job/post-job equipment inspections, Level I maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Follow all HSE policies, hazard identification, risk assessments, PPE requirements, and incident reporting procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings, operational reviews, and technical training activities.
- Maintain current knowledge of Gyro survey technology, procedures, and field operations.
- Previous oilfield experience required; Gyro, MWD, LWD, wireline, directional drilling, or survey tool experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in remote field environments and drilling rig locations.
- Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
- Willingness to travel, work rotational/on-call schedules, and respond to field callouts.
- High level of accountability, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Preferred certifications: First Aid, H2S, CSO, clean driving record, and successful pre-employment screening.
- Experience in Western Canada operations, SAGD, horizontal wells, or anti-collision environments is an asset.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
