Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have restaurant experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience with POS systems such as Touch Bistro POS is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly as a bartender.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through effective time management.
- Responsible for cleaning and side work
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations before and after shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of previous restaurant or food service experience preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Touch Bistro POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and managing bills or tabs.
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly, adhering to all legal requirements.
- Able to work independently during slow periods
