Prairie Auto Fleet is an Edmonton-based vehicle exporter specializing in late-model pickup trucks for the U.S. market. We source vehicles across Alberta and recondition them in-house to meet retail standards. Our operation is built on efficiency, consistency, and clean, properly repaired units.
The Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Bodyman who can handle all structural and cosmetic repair work from start to finish.
This role is focused on metal work, panel repair, and reconstruction not paint production. You will take damaged vehicles and bring them back to straight, properly aligned condition ready for final prep and paint.
Typical work includes dent repair, panel straightening, rust repair, part replacement, and full reassembly.

Core Responsibilities
- Assess damage and determine the most efficient repair approach
- Perform dent removal, metal shaping, and panel straightening
- Repair or replace damaged components including fenders, bedsides, doors, bumpers, and structural parts
- Handle rust repair on cab corners, wheel wells, and common truck problem areas
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles cleanly and correctly
- Ensure proper panel alignment, gaps, and fitment
- Prep repaired areas (filler, sanding, basic masking) for paint stage
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Technical Capabilities
- Strong metal work skills using hammers, dollies, and body tools
- Experience with panel replacement, welding, and structural repairs
- Proficient with fillers, grinding, and surface correction
- Ability to identify when to repair vs replace for efficiency
- Understanding of proper fitment and factory alignment standards
Credentials & Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Bodyman / Auto Body Technician
- Proven ability to run jobs independently from teardown to final body stage
- Strong attention to detail in panel fitment and finish quality
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Comfortable working in a high-volume environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
