Maintenance Working / Maintenance Lead - Langley
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Gym Maintenance Technician to join our team full-time. This role is critical in ensuring our facility, equipment, and overall member experience remain at the highest standard. If you are hands-on, mechanically inclined, and take pride in maintaining a clean and fully operational environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fitness equipment (cardio machines, strength equipment, etc.)
- Pool, Spa and Steam Room maintenance an asset
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with gym equipment
- Conduct daily facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality
- Complete preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment
- Maintain locker rooms, washrooms, and common areas to a high standard
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed
- Track maintenance logs, repairs, and inventory of tools/parts
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Previous experience working with gym equipment (preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physically capable of lifting, moving, and repairing heavy equipment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Full-time availability (including some weekends if required)
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Certification in fitness equipment repair/maintenance
- Trade certifications (electrical, HVAC, or general maintenance)
- WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety certifications
- Experience working in a gym, fitness center, or similar environment
