Operations Manager – The Forge Bar-B-Q

The Forge Bar-B-Q is looking for an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager to help lead day-to-day restaurant operations and support our growing BBQ concept. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and understands that great food, great people, and great systems all matter.
We are a high-volume BBQ restaurant with live music, a full whiskey bar, patio, and private event space. The right candidate will be confident on the floor, organized behind the scenes, and comfortable holding standards without losing the culture.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Overseeing daily front- and back-of-house operations
- Leading, coaching, and holding staff accountable (FOH)
- Ensuring consistent food quality, service standards, and guest experience
- Scheduling, labor control, and payroll support
- Inventory management, ordering, and cost control (food, bar, supplies)
- Enforcing health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Supporting hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff training
- Handling guest concerns and resolving issues professionally
- Serving tables & events
- Supporting private events, live music nights, and busy service periods
- Acting as the point of contact when AGM is off-site
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3–5 years restaurant management experience (BBQ or high-volume preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confident decision-maker who stays calm under pressure
- Solid understanding of food cost, labor, and operations systems
- Hands-on manager — not afraid to jump in when needed
- High standards for cleanliness, organization, and professionalism
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and events
- Passion for hospitality, BBQ culture, and team development

Pay: $45,760.00-$50,000.00 per year
