Position Overview
To provide administrative and coordination support to the Programs Development Coordinator in the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of Human Appeal (HA)s international programmes. This includes supporting the collection, organization, and presentation of project feedback to HA partners and/or donors.
The role supports the effective and efficient delivery of HAs international programmes to ensure that beneficiaries are appropriately supported. It also contributes to documenting and demonstrating programme outcomes to support accountability and ongoing donor engagement.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with applicable Canadian laws and regulations, including employment standards, human rights legislation, workplace health and safety requirements, and organizational policies.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary within the range of $42,500-$50,000 and benefits.

Candidate essential criteria
- Provide program implementation, coordination, and monitoring support to the Programmes Development Coordinator
- Support the Programs Development Coordinator with preparation of documentation across the programme management cycle (e.g., proposals, agreements, contracts)
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Programmes department as required

Support the management of projects across the full project life cycle, including project design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and learning

Assist with the preparation and maintenance of programme documentation, including proposals, agreements, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational policies

Assist in preparing narrative and financial reports for prospective and existing donors, in coordination with relevant teams

Provide accurate and timely information updates to internal stakeholders, including Communications, Donor Care, and Fundraising teams

Coordinate logistics for field visits and monitoring activities, where applicable, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and safety requirements

Maintain accurate records of projects and donor information using internal systems (including Salesforce or similar databases), in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws in Canada

Contribute to the development of programme materials, training resources, and internal toolkits

Participate in internal meetings and, where appropriate, external events, representing the organization in a professional manner

Provide general administrative support to the Programmes Team, including scheduling, document preparation, and routine office coordination tasks

Conduct research on potential funding opportunities, as requested, to support the Institutional Funding team

Liaise with field offices and partners to support the preparation and review of project proposals, ensuring clarity and completeness

Support preparation and coordination of donor and partner correspondence and documentation

Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and recording and distributing minutes and action items

Assist with invoice processing in accordance with internal financial procedures

Support internal communications and information sharing across teams

Provide support during project initiation phases, including emergency response activities, under appropriate supervision

Attend and contribute to regular team meetings to support effective team operations

Maintain awareness of key issues in international development and humanitarian response relevant to the role

Perform other duties as reasonably assigned, consistent with the nature and level of the role
Education

Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, International Development, Public Administration, or related discipline.
Experience

Demonstrated interest, knowledge, or passion for the international development and/or humanitarian sector
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Languages

Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required
Candidate desirable criteria

Experience working with a non-governmental organization (NGO) in either a paid or volunteer capacity is considered an asset

Experience using databases or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is considered an asset

Additional languages (e.g., Arabic, Urdu, or other relevant languages) are considered an asset
