Position Title: Landscape Construction Labourer
Reports to: Landscape Construction Project Manager
Position Summary
Royal Decks and Landscapes is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and motivated Landscape Construction Labourer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position working on high-end residential landscape projects throughout the GTA.
As a Landscape Construction Labourer, you will assist in all aspects of landscape construction, including interlocking stone, retaining walls, planting, grading, excavation, and other outdoor landscape features. You’ll work alongside experienced crew members while learning new skills in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Assist with the installation of patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, steps, garden beds, and other landscape features
- Perform grading, excavation, site preparation, and compaction
- Assist with planting trees, shrubs, perennials, and sod installation
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Assist with the operation of landscape equipment such as plate compactors, cut-off saws, mini skid steers, and excavators (training provided where appropriate)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently
- Interact with homeowners professionally and courteously when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous landscape construction, hardscape, or general construction experience is considered an asset
- Experience installing interlocking stone, retaining walls, or planting is an asset
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, and loaders is a strong asset
- Valid G Driver’s Licence is preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow direction
Working Conditions
- Work is performed primarily on residential job sites throughout the GTA
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Physically demanding position involving lifting, carrying, kneeling, bending, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Daily travel to job sites is required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Milton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
