Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining smooth kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and providing excellent service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety protocols. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, appliances, and floors
- Support the serving staff by ensuring timely delivery of prepared food items
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively with team members
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and food industry standards
- Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service hours
Pay: $18.25 per hour
