Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Support food service operations by restocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen area remains tidy throughout shifts
- Help with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, and dining areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Follow proper food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health standards
- Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately
- Hours required are Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. No Weekends and No holidays.
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food handling practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety standards within the food industry is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
