Gobbo Contracting Inc is hiring a Working Lead Hand for:
Waterproofing
House Raising
Excavation
Demolition
Sudbury & Surrounding Areas
This is a hands on leadership role. You will be expected to work alongside the crew while leading operations. This is physically demanding work with early mornings, late nights, weekend work, and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
PAY: $25/hr–$30/hr
Starting wage is based on demonstrated ability, experience, leadership, and practical testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Lead and manage a crew of 3–5 employees
-Coordinate workflow and delegate tasks
-Problem solve and make decisions onsite
-Organize materials, labour, and equipment
-Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards
-Work alongside the crew and lead by example
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum 3 years construction experienceLeadership experience
-Strong communication and problem solving skills
-Ability to lead a crew of 3–5 employees
-Understanding of construction materials and applications
-Ability to read a measuring tape and demonstrate layout skills
-Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract
-Reliable personal vehicle-Punctual, reliable, and team oriented
ASSETS:
-Waterproofing, excavation and foundation experience
-Equipment operation (mini excavator, skid steer, backhoe)
-Trailer towing and backing experience
-Basic truck/equipment repairs and maintenance checks
-WHMIS certification
