Job Description
As the Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and servicing all food items for our Karma Lounge menu according to recipes and standards for all aspects of the kitchen operation. This position reports to the Executive Chef & Sous Chef, essential job scope includes but is not limited to:
Responsibilities
· Lead cooks to success during service of events, ensuring all food is ready and set
· Cook menu items and maintain a spotless environment as laid out by the chef team
· Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail at all times & promote teamwork between culinary brigade
· Upkeep a professional work ethic & dress code
· Ensure all standards of safety & cleanliness are observed
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities & able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
· Highly responsible, key team player and reliable with aspirations to be a sous chef
· Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Chef
Qualifications
· Minimum three - four years line cooking experience in a modern bistro/restaurant
· Eagerness & right attitude to groom & guide fellow team mates and grow with the team
· Versatile to help lead kitchen operations in all departments of a hotel setting
· BC Food Safe Certification
· Knowledge or experience in international cuisine & culinary trends an asset
Wage: $26-31/hr + Tips
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
