Cobourg Mazda, part of the Gyro family-owned group of dealerships, is looking for a motivated, hardworking, and team-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our growing Fixed Operations team.

We are looking for an apprentice technician who is eager to learn, takes pride in their work, works well within a team environment, and wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs under the guidance of licensed technicians
- Assist with diagnostics and repair procedures while developing technical skills
- Complete manufacturer-recommended maintenance and repair procedures to Mazda standards
- Perform multi-point inspections and identify maintenance or repair recommendations
- Participate in the TruVideo inspection and MPI process
- Maintain accurate and legible repair order documentation
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Collaborate closely with advisors, parts, detail, and management teams to maintain workflow efficiency
- Participate in ongoing training, mentorship, and apprenticeship development
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
Qualifications
- Registered Automotive Service Technician Apprentice preferred
- Previous dealership, lube technician, or automotive repair experience considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-focused with professionalism and accountability
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License required
