Yard Labourer / Equipment Operator
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery, loading and unloading flatbed trailers, and maintaining an organized and safe yard environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload flatbed trailers, ensuring materials and equipment are properly secured.
- Organize and maintain the yard, including equipment, materials, and inventory.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and preparing materials for delivery or pickup.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Support other yard and warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, loaders, excavators, skid steers, or similar equipment).
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience loading and unloading flatbed trailers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Wage TBD as per experience.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
