We are seeking professional and highly-motivated Barista/Kay Holder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about serving customers and working with a team. The right candidate will also have experience operating a cash register, preparing coffee drinks, serving gelato as well as creating a pleasant atmosphere for customers.
Job Description:
The supervisor is in charge of food handling, ordering, and inventory. The supervisor will be in charge of training the new staff, opening and closing the store, cash handling and maintaining day to day operation of the cafe. You will be responsible for managing the floor, inventory and deligating the team. Barista experience is not an asset, training will be provided by Maria's Gelato to the right candidate. Maria's Gelato is looking for someone to work in the long term, with a performance review every 12 months. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about coffee, gelato and quality food; loves interacting with clients and enjoys a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Brew coffee., Prepare coffee beverages., Serving gelato, Serve customers., Prepare food., Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Greet & interact with guests, take orders using the POS program
- Serve gelato, clean dishes, bussing
- Receive and process payments & Handle cash, online orders, pre-orders and specialty orders
- Prepare and serve food and beverages from our menu itmes
- Stocking, organizing, cleaning following the daily inventory tasks and cleaning tasks
- Working with kitchen team by cleaning dishes, bussing, execute daily cleaning
- Light laundry and cleaning bathrooms
- Execute quality espresso drinks using the equipment provided
- Keeping cafe clean, taking garbage out, receive orders, and execute training
For Key Holder position, the role is as listed:
- Dialing the grinders, espresso machine, pour-over, cold brew, drip
- Communicate knowledge of coffee beans with guests and team
- Be able to execute the following: latte art, machine dialing and maintenance, pour-over, french press, cold brew
- Maintain a standard of cleanliness throughout the cafe
- Quality control of all beverages/ drinks
- Food Safety Level 1 is required
- Managing meal breaks, cash handling, open/closing duties
- Communicate with the store operator on day to day operations
