About the Role
BMI Ltd. is hiring a Journeyperson Welder/Fabricator and an Apprentice Welder/Fabricator. Both positions are open now. We are looking for people who want to work steadily, build their skills, and stay.
The work is primarily shop-based fabrication and welding with some field work. Jobs range from repeat production runs to custom builds. Mechanical aptitude is an asset here. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a crew that has been together a long time.
What You Will Be Doing
- Fabricating and welding in an indoor shop environment
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings
- Operating welding processes including SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW
- Using hand tools, oxy-fuel cutting, and plasma cutting equipment
- Occasional field work outside the shop
- Maintaining a safe and organized work area
What We Are Looking For
- Journeyperson: certified or experienced in the trade. CWB certification is an asset.
- Apprentice: some hands-on welding or fabrication experience. Registered apprentice preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with fabricated assemblies
- Reliable, consistent, and comfortable in a hands-on industrial environment
