Position Summary
The Coil Manufacturer operates production machinery to manufacture electric motor coils according to customer specifications and detailed work instructions. This role involves running specialized coil manufacturing equipment, performing manual coil preparation tasks, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to EMCC’s quality standards.
The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow within the manufacturing environment of a growing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate coil manufacturing machinery including:
- Coil loopers
- Lead sanders
- Coil spreaders and forming machines
- Groundwall insulation taping machines
- Mechanical heat presses
- Perform non-machine tasks such as hand taping and manual coil preparation.
- Manufacture coils according to customer specifications and documented work instructions.
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain consistent production pace without compromising quality standards or safety.
- Operate all machinery and processes safely in accordance with company safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and delivery targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications & Skills
- No prior coil manufacturing experience required; training provided.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is an asset.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform basic in-process inspections and understand quality requirements.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Proficiency in English is helpful.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods depending on task requirements.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and detailed manual work.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
