Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing any damage
- Apply paint and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Follow specific instructions regarding paint colors, mixing ratios, and application techniques
- Ensure proper coverage and quality of paint application
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use protective equipment when necessary
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
- Runs projects start-to-finish (prep, sequence, cleanup)
- Spray competence (mask, finish, clean-up)
- Leads when chief away; client updates; orders supplies
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction painting, including both interior and exterior surfaces
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and application methods
- Ability to restore surfaces by sanding, scraping, and priming as needed
- Strong customer service skills to interact with clients and address any concerns or questions
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools commonly used in painting projects
- Familiarity with industrial and commercial painting techniques is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean work area
