Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscaping Labourer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on work in landscape projects, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will support various landscaping tasks, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout all projects.
Duties
- Assist with excavation, grading, and soil preparation using hand tools, power tools.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching to keep outdoor areas attractive and healthy.
- Install irrigation systems and troubleshoot basic irrigation issues to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and other gardening activities.
- Maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Support construction activities related to landscape projects, including setting up structures or features as directed.
- Follow safety protocols at all times during landscaping operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet client expectations.
Experience
- Prior experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction or site preparation work is advantageous.
- Ability to operate machinery such as excavators is desirable but not mandatory; training will be available if needed.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions is essential.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance practices will be beneficial for success in this role.
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
