The Role:
As the day-to-day functional contact assigned to a work center/department, the Shipper/ Receiver is responsible to perform the duties of the role, and in support of the Supervisor(s), to organize and coordinate/delegate tasks, provide advice and guidance to team members, and ensure that their key accountabilities within the Operational Framework SQCDPE (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People and Environment) are met.
What you get to do:

Check for proper identification, count of finished product, and correct palletization patterns.

Load and unload trucks as required.

Check all incoming and outgoing goods in accordance with proper documentation and sign as required.

Stage full trailer loads for delivery to distribution center(s).

Create and print bills of lading using PC.

Perform all pallet transfers and update warehouse inventories using PC.

Receive (ie. ticket, weigh, sample, store and complete all paperwork for) all inbound raw materials (e.g. tea, sugar, whitener, coffee, etc.)

Assist in the flow of materials between production lines and satellite warehouse.

Arrange for transport pick-up and deliveries.

Responsible for receiving all inbound raw materials, components and Machinery.

Ensuring that the receiving report tallies with the actual quantities received.

Responsible for reporting any damages or discrepancies in quantity received to the Supervisor.

Responsible for entering receivables into the computer system.

Responsible for pulling finished goods away from the palletizing areas, staging loads to be shipped out to the distribution center and customers, generating bills of lading through the computer, loading outbound trailers with finished goods, keeping all shipping records up to date, assist material handlers in the staging and transfer of inter-warehouse resupplies

Coordinate with carrier’s dispatch how many loads out and in

Perform Daily material handling equipment checks.
