WHAT YOU’LL DO…
The Fabrication Material Handler is responsible for the movement of product between vendors and WMI in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining the commitment to quality that our customer’s demand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Management of WIP Materials and Raw Materials
- Receive completed components from machining, laser, bending, and other manufacturing resources.
- Verify received quantities and inspect for proper identification and documentation.
- Label, organize, and store materials in designated inventory locations.
- Pick and issue materials, hardware, and components to the Fabrication and Paint departments according to production priorities.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.
- Ensure all materials are properly identified and traceable throughout the production process.
- Coordinate movement of materials between departments to support production flow.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or shortages promptly.
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve material flow and warehouse organization.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and standard work instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Experience with materials and fabrication processes
- Experience in a shipping role
- Forklift certification an asset
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
OTHER INFORMATION:
- This is an on-site position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna, BC).
- This position works an 8-hour day shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm), Monday – Friday
