Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Salad and Expo Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic team at The James Joyce. This role is vital in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring our guests enjoy high-quality meals in a lively atmosphere. The position is based in downtown.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing salads and cold dishes to meet quality standards.
- Support the expo station by organizing and plating orders efficiently.
- Ensure all food items are handled safely and maintained at proper temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Support food preparation activities as needed to assist the team.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient kitchen environment.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen support roles preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
- Flexibility to assist with various kitchen tasks as needed.
- Food handling certification is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for working in a lively pub atmosphere.
