Seeking Home Health Care Aides for positions providing care to a married senior couple in their home in the Comox Valley.
Please note that out of area applicants will not be considered for this position. A minimum of 5 years experience is required for these positions.
We are seeking experienced applicants who can provide both expert care to our loved ones, and respite to burnt out family caregivers.
If you can take an intuitive approach to care that is informed by expertise and compassion for medically complex seniors, we want to hear from you.
Success in this position will require confidence, independence, excellent judgement, and dependability. Successful candidates must also be physically capable of one and two person transfers . Experience with dementia is essential.
We require HCA's for casual, part time hours and full time hours . Positions are available for day or night shifts, on weekdays and/or weekends.
We will do our best to accommodate the availability and shift preferences of successful applicants, but please be advised these are employment positions and you will need to sign an employment agreement, and abide by B.C's employment legislation. We cannot accommodate independent contractors.
These positions are funded. We are a WorkSafeBC compliant employer. Full extended health care benefit package is available after probationary period and with a minimum 20 hour a week work commitment.
A criminal background check is required for all positions.
Rates of remuneration are determined by the Ministry of Health and are competitive with standard rates for similar private positions in the Comox Valley.
