Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism
- Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, taking reservations and addressing inquiries
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand area and ensure a welcoming environment at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in guest services, food service, or hospitality preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of hotel or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Basic understanding of food service etiquette and phone etiquette
