Founded in 1997, Tamas Hydronics' sole focus is hydronic heating and cooling. Tamas Hydronic is seeking a full time Journeyman Plumber with hands on experience with hydronic cooling and heating. A large multi-year project requires daily on site work for plumbing and hydronic heating. This position will report to the President, who will act as mentor.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Journeyman plumber is responsible for the leading the team ss well as boiler systems, plumbing systems installations. The successful candidate must be able to understand the fundamentals of drawings, as well be familiar with and comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools. Training will be provided.
POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install snowmelt system, piping, pumps, boiler
- Rough in plumbing
- Install Uponor Sprinkler system
- Follow blueprints for hydronic and plumbing system
- Learn hydronic heating and cooling concepts
- Check work to ensure error-free products
- Maintain a neat, tidy and safe workplace
- Responsibly handle tools
- Wear proper PPE as required at all times
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by management to ensure Tamas Hydronics goals and objectives are met
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Well organized with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent safety record / safety conscious with an interest in continued learning of safety precautions and procedures
- Experience in an industrial capacity with a notable willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Hydronic and boiler experience an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plumber
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety procedures
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
