B-Town Group Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Part-Time Heavy Equipment Welder to join our team. We operate a busy aggregate quarry and are looking for an individual with experience repairing and maintaining large heavy equipment used in mining, crushing, screening, and material handling operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding, fabrication, and repairs on heavy equipment, crushers, conveyors, buckets, attachments, and related components.
- Diagnose structural damage and wear issues on equipment.
- Repair cracks, rebuild worn surfaces, and fabricate replacement parts as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance welding to minimize equipment downtime.
- Work safely in a quarry and shop environment while following all company safety policies.
- Collaborate with mechanics and operators to keep equipment operating efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Previous welding experience on heavy equipment, construction equipment, mining equipment, or similar machinery.
- Proficient in MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and fabrication plans.
- Experience operating torches, grinders, and fabrication tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
