Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated goalie coach to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) will have a strong understanding of the position and a desire to educate and inspire young athletes. This role involves developing goalies' skills, running drills at camps, semi-privates, and team practices, and effectively communicating feedback to goalies of various ages and abilities.
Duties
- Conduct regular training sessions focused on the fundamentals of skating, positioning, and techniques.
- Analyze goalies performance during camps, practices, and games, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Being responsible for your own station on the ice, where you will not only be running drills and shooting on the goalies, but providing real-time, personalized feedback to them as well.
- Foster a positive culture that encourages participation, respect, and personal growth.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure consistent messaging and training approaches.
Qualifications
- Previous goalie coaching experience in hockey is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of goaltending fundamentals with playing experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate goalies effectively.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Availability for evening practices and/or early mornings for camps as required by the schedule.
