We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR Team. This role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee experience, and day-to-day HR operations for our business. The successful candidate will work closely with leaders across the organization to support hiring initiatives, performance management processes, employee relations matters, and HR programs that contribute to a positive employee experience.
This is a hybrid position based at 255 Consumers Road, Suite 400, Toronto, ON M2J 1R4, requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office. The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $57,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting positions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, and preparing employment offers
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through sourcing, networking, referrals, and external recruitment channels
- Facilitate onboarding activities, including orientation, system setup, documentation, and Day 1 readiness
- Support performance management processes, including tracking reviews, preparing documentation, and coordinating follow-up activities
- Assist managers with coaching documentation, performance improvement plans, and employee development initiatives
- Prepare employment agreements, offer letters, employment verification letters, and other employee documentation as required
- Maintain employee records within the HCM system and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
- Support employee relations by responding to employee questions, assisting with workplace concerns, and escalating issues as appropriate
- Coordinate employee surveys, engagement initiatives, and recognition programs
- Assist with HR reporting, KPI tracking, and other administrative projects
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to recruitment, onboarding, employee experience, and HR processes
- Support health and safety initiatives and other HR programs as required
What Are We Looking For?
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, or a related role, with demonstrated exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee support, and HR administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience working with HCM systems; UKG experience is considered an asset
- Customer service-oriented with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
