Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and excellent communication abilities. This role is vital in driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining efficient store functions. The Store Manager will be responsible for team supervision, merchandising, inventory management, and implementing marketing strategies to enhance store performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning and high standards of customer service
- Recruit, interview, and train new staff members to build a motivated and skilled team
- Manage payroll, budgeting, and bookkeeping tasks to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency
- Oversee merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory purchasing
- Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions, returns, and data entry
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions on sales techniques and product knowledge
- Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance
- Execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Manage cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales management with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and develop talent
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic bookkeeping tools
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and marketing techniques
- Effective time management with organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff
- Sound understanding of payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative procedures
- Customer service orientation with a professional phone etiquette approach
- Analytical skills in math for sales tracking and financial reporting
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining integrity
