About the Role:
As a Service Electrician, you will play a key role in keeping our customers' facilities operating safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot complex electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, complete repairs and installations, and provide exceptional customer service across a variety of sites. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and service work.
- Complete electrical maintenance, upgrades, installations, and emergency service calls.
- Repair electrical systems and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Troubleshoot power distribution, lighting, motor controls, and control circuits.
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Replace motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and control devices.
- Perform modifications and upgrades to existing electrical systems.
- Maintain organized tools, materials, and clean job sites.
- Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Travel to various service locations.
- Complete service documentation and reports accurately.
- Participate and promote company safety program; undertake training as required.
- Perform any other tasks, as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician Certificate of Qualification (Ontario)
- Valid G Driver's Licence with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and applicable regulations.
- Familiarity with motors, controls, VFDs, PLC interfaces (basic troubleshooting), generators, and emergency power systems is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
