Summary
'Shop Labourer/Swamper' is a vital role at Stirling Woodworks Ltd., based in Maple Ridge. This position supports our production team by handling various warehouse and shop floor tasks, ensuring smooth operations and high quality craftsmanship aligned with our company's values.
Responsibilities
Must possess a valid, full BC Class 5 Driver’s License (or provincial equivalent) with a clean driving abstract.
- Load and unload materials efficiently.
- Drive a 5 tonne cube van.
- Support construction and assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Follow safety protocols at all times.
- Operate forklifts and heavy machinery.
- Strong physical fitness for heavy lifting.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
- Lift and move heavy, awkward objects (up to 50+ lbs) safely alongside a partner.
- Be careful and deliberate when handling and securing finished, painted, or stained products to prevent scratches or damage.
- Punctual and dependable attendance.
