Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Pallet Repair Operator and play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and refurbishing pallets to ensure they meet quality standards for safe transportation and storage. Your mechanical aptitude, woodworking skills, and experience with power and hand tools will drive your success in this hands-on role. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged pallets and identify repair requirements.
- Repair and rebuild wooden pallets according to company standards.
- Replace damaged boards, blocks, and pallet components.
- Operate hand tools and power tools, including nail guns, hammers, and saws.
- Sort pallets based on condition and repair needs.
- Meet daily production targets and quality standards.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Report equipment or quality issues to supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous pallet repair, pallet manufacturing, construction, carpentry, or manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow safety procedures and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs (or more depending on employer requirements).
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or outdoor industrial environment.
