Overview of the Position:
We are searching for qualified and ambitious individuals to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment and on highway trucks in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner.
The Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic will be responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, overhauling and maintenance of complex heavy-duty mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment and trucks; adjusting equipment and repairing/replacing defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools. You will also be responsible for service documentation when necessary, and must be able to accurately order needed parts from vendors.

Requirements and Experience:
- To be qualified, all applicants must have 3+ years of experience with repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment.
- Red Seal or Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman Ticket is required.
- The ideal candidate will have highly developed mechanical background knowledge, particularly with various engines.
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment.
- Skill in diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
- Owning tools applicable to position is an asset.
- Exhibit strong teamwork, verbal, and written skills.
- High degree of independent judgment.
- Dedication to safety is a must.
- Proficient in computers / tablets for daily maintenance records, time cards, reporting.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Occasional travel to job sites, as necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
