This position is primarily based on campus. One remote workday per week may be available in accordance with College policy and operational requirements.
Description:
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations advances the mission of St. Mark's College and Corpus Christi College by fostering meaningful relationships with alumni, donors, volunteers, and community partners. We are seeking an organized, collaborative, and relationship-focused professional to support alumni engagement initiatives, events, communications, and fundraising activities.
Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations, the Alumni Relations Support Officer supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of alumni engagement programs and initiatives that strengthen lifelong connections between alumni and the Colleges. This role coordinates alumni communications, events, volunteer and ambassador programs, database management, fundraising activities, and student employee support while ensuring a positive and engaging alumni experience.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
· Support the planning and implementation of alumni engagement initiatives, programs, and events that foster school pride and strengthen alumni connections.
· Maintain the alumni database in Salesforce, ensuring accurate records, reporting, and data integrity.
· Coordinate alumni communications, including newsletters, email campaigns, website content, LinkedIn, and alumni stories in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
· Assist with the planning and execution of alumni events, reunions, networking opportunities, fundraising events, and other engagement activities.
· Support fundraising initiatives by coordinating alumni participation, communications, and event logistics.
· Recruit, coordinate, and support alumni volunteers and ambassadors while helping create meaningful engagement opportunities.
· Assist with the recruitment, training, and coordination of student employees working on alumni relations initiatives.
· Respond to alumni inquiries and maintain positive relationships with alumni and community stakeholders.
· Manage multiple priorities while adapting to changing deadlines and operational needs.
· Prepare reports and provide administrative support to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Post-secondary degree in communications, marketing, business administration, public relations, education, or a related field, with two to three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience in alumni relations, fundraising, donor or volunteer engagement, communications, events, or stakeholder relations.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with Salesforce, Qualtrics, Constant Contact, or similar CRM and email marketing platforms is an asset.
· Strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
· Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
· Access to a vehicle and having a valid driver’s license is an asset.
· Understanding of and respect for the mission and values of St. Mark's College and Corpus Christi College.
