SIMS MHS LTD is looking for an experienced Commercial Overhead Door Installer/Technician! Responsibilities
- Experience replacing hollow doors, framing, thresholds, panic bars & closers
- Prior experience with Overhead Door Installation, in both a residential and commercial setting
- capable of working alone on smaller jobs (residential installations)
- Valid, clean class 5 driving record
- Must be reliable, and have consistent work attendance
- Read blueprints and follow specifications to ensure accurate completion of projects
- Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling and managing equipment and tools required
- Complete all required paperwork daily and submitted on time at the end of each work day- i.e: timesheets, FHLA’s, job workorder with clear notes and part #’s
- On the on-call rotation for service with bonus pay

- Mechanically inclined
- Strong work ethic, a team player with a positive attitude
- Business savvy with a customer service focus
- Good customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts)
- Able to lift & hold heavy loads (35kgs/80lbs)
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Strong safety mindset – willing and able to wear all required PPE including hard hat
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
