Jewelry & Watch Sales Associate – Yang’s Jewellery
Yang’s Jewellery has proudly served the Cambridge community since 1989. Located inside Cambridge Centre for over 37 years, our family-owned jewelry store offers a curated selection of watches, fashion jewelry, gold jewelry, and jewelry services with a strong focus on customer care, honesty, and long-term relationships.
We are currently looking for a reliable and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with jewelry and watch purchases
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive customer service
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and payment processing
- Answer phone inquiries professionally and assist customers in a timely manner
- Perform basic watch services such as battery replacements and minor adjustments (training provided for the right candidate)
- Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing showcases and sales areas
- Assist with daily store upkeep, including polishing showcases, light cleaning, vacuuming, merchandising, and maintaining overall store presentation standards
- Assist with inventory, tagging, pricing, and daily retail operations
- Support customers with jewelry care, repairs, and service inquiries
- Communicate product features, promotions, and new arrivals effectively to customers
- Work collaboratively with team members in a busy retail environment
Qualifications
- Strong spoken English and customer communication skills required
- Previous experience in jewelry, watches, luxury retail, or customer-facing sales environments is strongly preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, responsible, and trustworthy
- Professional and well-groomed appearance required
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Must be comfortable handling valuable merchandise with care and professionalism
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods in a retail environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, is preferred
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Reliable transportation is considered an asset

Job Type
We are currently hiring for both:
- Full-time position with variable weekly hours (approximately 25–35 hours/week)
- Part-time position with variable weekly hours (approximately 15–20 hours/week)

Schedule
- Day shifts and evening shifts
- Shift lengths may vary between 4–8 hours depending on store needs
- Store operating hours may include opening shifts starting at 9:30 AM and closing shifts ending around 8:15 PM

Retail sales is a hands-on and fast-paced environment. Team members are expected to stay engaged, maintain store presentation, assist customers proactively, and contribute to daily store upkeep throughout their shifts. We value attitude, professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn.
