Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and attentive temporary workplace signer traffic control personnel to ensure safe and efficient management of traffic at construction sites. This role involves directing vehicles and pedestrians, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting construction operations. The position offers an opportunity to gain experience in traffic management and construction environments, contributing to the safety of workers and the public.
Duties
- Operate signage and signals to direct traffic flow around construction zones
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and traffic control plans
- Assist in setting up and dismantling traffic control devices as needed
- Monitor traffic conditions and report any hazards or incidents promptly
- Support construction crews by providing clear communication and maintaining safe work zones
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, paving, and construction activities
Skills
- Prior experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of paving processes and construction site safety protocols is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and the public
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Prior construction experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed
Pay: $17.50-$21.00 per hour
