Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, effective communication, and a thorough knowledge of our menu offerings. Previous restaurant experience, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings, is highly valued. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction from start to finish.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems and process payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues promptly
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with health regulations
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous host/host or bussing experience is beneficial
