Duties
- Prepare fresh ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning to meet recipe specifications and service needs
- Cook menu items according to established standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist in plating dishes efficiently for timely service during busy hours
- Support the team by restocking supplies and ensuring all ingredients are properly stored and labeled
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and uphold high standards of food presentation
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation or food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food handling safety, and sanitation practices in a restaurant environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency in meal preparation
