Job Overview
Join our team as a Sub-Assembler. The Sub-Assembler is responsible for the assembly of various lower-level components of a forklift including hoods, air boxes, cylinders, valves, pad mount kits, tanks, etc. This position will also be responsible for the packaging of all Ship Loose orders and related tasks. The role will require you at times to support other various operations in Assembly.
Responsibilities
o Component Assembly: Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to assemble smaller parts or electrical components.
o Tool Operation: Safely utilize hand tools, power tools, hoists, and light machinery to fasten, adjust, and align materials.
o Quality Control: Inspect finished sub-assemblies against exact tolerances, report defects, and verify proper fit before passing components to the main production line.
o Process Documentation: Record production data, part counts, and test results into manufacturing logs or inventory software.
o Maintenance: Keep assembly equipment clean and perform basic preventive maintenance.
o Be physically able to lift, carry and push products within the regulated guidelines.
o Be self-motivated and organized to perform job functions efficiently.
o Must maintain a steady production flow.
o Identify and report all quality concerns to Assembly Supervisor.
o Be versatile and able to sub-assemble all components at any given time.
o Assist with Final Assembly duties when required.
o Work with limited supervision.
o Safely operate company forklifts indoors and outdoors.
Possess good housekeeping habits
Experience
o Lift truck and propane safety.
o Physically able to lift 10-25lbs, sit, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel
o Able to troubleshoot and multi-task.
o Strong communication skills.
o Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
o Flexible and adaptable.
o Self-motivated with initiative.
Pay: $23.65-$25.13 per hour
