Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Glass Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing vehicle glass with precision and attention to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing mechanical skills and automotive knowledge to deliver high-quality service to our customers.
Duties
- Remove and replace windshields and other vehicle glass components efficiently and safely
- Inspect damaged glass and determine the appropriate repair or replacement procedures
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to handle glass components
- Ensure proper sealing and installation of glass to prevent leaks and ensure safety
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding service procedures and timelines
- Keep detailed records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or automotive repair background is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift heavy glass components safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Mechanic experience or related technical training is advantageous
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various environmental conditions
