SkyNorth Air Ltd. is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) – Crew Chief.
Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance, this leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting critical air ambulance operations across Manitoba.

Schedule:
4 Days On / 4 Days Off (Day Shift)
Voluntary overtime opportunities are available during evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
SkyNorth Air Ltd. offers a highly competitive compensation package, including:
- Starting wage of $60.00 CAD per hour
- Additional stipends for role-specific responsibilities
- Vacation entitlement beginning at 6% (equivalent to 3 weeks)
- Company-sponsored RRSP/DPSP matching program with a 100% match beginning at 4.5% of basic earnings
- Progressive increases to hourly wage, vacation entitlement, and RRSP matching based on Years of Service

About SkyNorth Air Ltd.
For over 21 years, SkyNorth Air Ltd. has proudly served the Province of Manitoba as a 24-hour, 365-day fixed-wing air ambulance operator.
Our specialized fleet includes:
- Beechcraft King Air 200 Series aircraft
- Mitsubishi MU-2 Marquise aircraft
Operations are conducted from our modern, purpose-built facility located at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (CYWG), supported by flight crew and aeromedical bases in Thompson, Manitoba and Island Lake, Manitoba.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Hold a valid Transport Canada M1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (M2 Licensed individuals will be considered on a case by case basis).
- Be legally entitled to live and work permanently in Canada
- Be available for full-time employment
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identity Card.
- Be willing and able to travel as operational requirements dictate
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience within an aircraft maintenance environment
- Experience directing and overseeing maintenance personnel and activities similar to those conducted by SkyNorth Air Ltd.
- Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills
